Summary
The Library Expansion Wing (floors 3–5) construction has reached the IT commissioning phase. Two hundred and ten Lutron Vive wireless lighting control nodes will be onboarded to the IoT management network, grouped into occupancy-based scenes, and integrated with the campus Building Automation System (BAS) for energy reporting.
Device Inventory
| Type | Count | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Occupancy/vacancy sensors (ceiling) | 88 | Study rooms, open stacks |
| Daylight sensors | 32 | Perimeter offices, reading rooms |
| Wireless dimmer keypads | 56 | Hallways, group study rooms |
| Wireless in-wall switches | 34 | Server alcoves, staff areas |
Integration Points
- BAS (Siemens Desigo CC): Lighting load data reported via BACnet/IP for energy dashboards
- IoT platform (AWS IoT Greengrass): OTA firmware path, telemetry archiving
- Facilities CMMS: Asset records created for each node with MAC address and room assignment
Impact
Work is performed on newly constructed space with no existing occupants — zero disruption to library operations on floors 1–2.
Outcome
All 210 nodes commissioned and verified. Occupancy-based dimming scenes active. BAS integration confirmed with Facilities team. Opening inspection passed.
